Originally developed by Kyle Parish for his 2008 campaign on the CBC show Canada's Next Great Prime Minister, Parish Productions has evolved into a multifaceted production studio. It's important to note that when originally formed, Parish Productions was made up of students with an interest in film, and has grown with us. Located in Ontario, Canada, Parish Productions made a name for itself, using a simple point and shoot camera, in 2011 with its first student film project, Origins II: The Rising. The film, a Star Wars Fan Film, would be followed by three sequels, each one pushing the boundaries of low budget independent film production. As time past, we upgraded our gear and skills. As of 2019, Parish Productions has completed the Origins film series with the final chapter, Origins V: Times Arrow.

Following the Covid 19 pandemic, Parish Productions completed a new Fan Film, The Last Guardian. The film screened at film festivals in New York city, Toronto, Indianapolis and concluded its run in Los Angeles. The film brought home 12 awards and 13 additional nominations at festivals. The confidence and experience gained from The Last Guardian has led into Parish Productions most ambitus project yet

 

Production is complete on the next film from Parish Productions, Fallen Star, which completed shooting in May 2024. This film is a culmination of 13 years worth of learning and will be the largest project to date in terms of complexity. Using a newly built virtual studio, Parish Productions will strive to bring to life a story that has never been possible before at an indie level, pushing the boundaries once again of what is possible for low budget independent film production. Fallen Star was released in February 2025 at the Chinese Theatre, with a film festival tour following, winning 20 awards on 26 nominations at over 12 different festivals. A short film, Sacrifice, which is a follow up to Fallen Star, filmed in 2025 for a 2026 release. Awaken, the next feature film, begins filming in spring 2026 with a festival release in 2027..   

 

Beyond film, Parish Productions also works on weddings (on a case by case basis) and wildlife photography while in between film projects.  We are also proud supporters of the Creative Coalition and Share Her Journey.
